Jordan Mensah Jordan started traditional African Drumming at age 9 in Ghana. He grew up in Bukom, a suburb of Accra, a community where drum and dance played an integral part of all community activities. He is a Juried Artist listed with the Vermont Arts Council, and has organized Onion River Arts and Community Connections sponsored residencies in elementary and high schools across Vermont, as well as workshops for adult community groups in Adamant, Barre and Plainfield. He is a resource person on African Traditional studies. |

Prosper Kuardio Prosper is from La Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). He has performed all over the world. He is a pioneering member of the Koteba National Dance Ensemble of La Cote D'Ivoire. He has collaborated with Jeh Kulu drum/dance company. He is enthusiastic about teaching others African culture through dance and drums. |

Ashong Tetteh Born and grew up in James Town, near Bukom in Accra. Started drumming at age 5. Master drummer for several National Events including the National Drum Ensemble during the historic visit of US President Clinton to Ghana in 1998; Annual Presidential reception by Ghana’s current and past presidents; and during the FIFA Soccer tournaments hosted by Ghana in 1999 and 2000. International Tours. Toured UK – Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales in 2000. Was granted interview on BBC news in 2003 during another trip to Britain where he performed with a number of UK based Ghanaian groups namely Brekete, Kakatsitsi, Kelewele productions, and Abladei. Ashong’s African tours have taken him to countries including Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Cote D’Ivoire, Guinea and Egypt (where he performed with the ever-popular Ghana Dance Ensemble). Musical Projects Ashong Tetteh currently has 2 albums which he led the Adesa Taloi group to produce. He’s been the Artistic Director of Shidaa Ghana (aka Adesa Taloi) since 1993, and is leading the team to the US for a Tour with the Shidaa Cultural Project, USA, in the Fall of 2006. |
